Limitless TECTOTS is our parent and toddler group that runs every Tuesday between 10:00 and 11:30 in the church building on Bamford Street.

The group is run by Tamworth Elim Church and the Manna House Charitable Company. We aim to reach out to families with young children in our community. To provide a fun, safe and loving environment as a support for parents and grandparents at this important stage in family life. We love God and want to serve our community which is why we run our group for free. We pray you are blessed by it.

Between 10:00 and 10:30 snacks and refreshments are served in the Annex at the back of the church, providing grown-ups with an opportunity to chat and catch up.

At 10:30 we all go into the church building where there are lots of activities for you to enjoy with your children. The space will set up with a variety of toys and activities suitable for little babies all the way up to Pre-school aged children. A craft and sensory area will be set out every week for some messy fun. We always end our sessions with a song and dance. At 11.25, we begin tidy up time before heading home around 11.30.

MEET THE TEAM!

BevBev is our amazing Children's and Community Pastor, she is involved in organising our Friday night Children's club, a monthly craft group, a ministry for adults with additional needs and our Sunday morning Children's groups and is a Trustee for the Manna House Charity to name only a few things. Bev works hard behind the scenes to support the TECTOTS Team each week.

DavidDavid aka Mr Craft is usually found in the Craft and Sensory area where his patience and sense of fun is on display! His happy place, though, is amongst his vast record collection or attending gigs. There’s not much that Dave doesn’t know about the music scene.

SueSue is a retired history teacher. She is married to Vic and they have two children and three grandchildren. If ever Sue’s missing from TECTOTS, it’s usually because she has escaped with Vic and a good book to sail on their little boat (built by Vic!) in the Norfolk Broads.

JanetJanet is another retired teacher who worked in both Secondary and Primary Education.  She is married with two sons and a granddaughter. Janet is a handy person to know as her happy place is in the kitchen, baking! Her Welsh cakes are especially delicious….and authentic!

JulieJulie is yet another retired teacher. She and her husband Steve have three children and two grandchildren. She enjoys reading and long walks in beautiful places. Her ideal escape is by the sea, but while in Tamworth, mostly settles for playing the piano instead!

IMG 8180Julie was, until recently, a member of TECTOTS as a Mum, with her younger son, Dexter. Alongside looking after her two boys, she runs her own business making celebration cakes, which are amazing creations! Julie is also a swimming instructor.

Our group is very popular and we have limited spaces so if you are interested in coming along please contact Bev from our TECTOTS team at bev@tamworth-elim.org.uk.

We look forward to meeting you!

Limitless TECTOTS Team.

Some key information about the church...

Where and when does the Church meet?
We have two services each week, on a Wednesday and a Sunday at 10.30am. We suggest you aim to arrive at least 10 minutes early to get a parking spot and seat in time for the service to start.

We meet at:

Tamworth Elim Church
Bamford Street,
Glascote,
Tamworth,
Staffs
B77 2AT

You can see a map on our contact us page

There is limited parking available on the site (two small car parks on Bamford Street; one slightly larger car park on Neville Street). Many people park on Abbey Road a short walk away as Bamford Street can be very congested.

What should I expect when I visit the Church on a Sunday Morning?

Our Welcome Team will be pleased to meet you as you arrive and they will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. Families often arrive in time to catch up with each other before the service begins. At the start of the service, the church family celebrates the goodness and love of God through music. Our music is lively and contemporary and we are blessed with a talented all-age group of musicians. This time can also include prayers, Bible reading and church/community/family news and updates.

The children and youth remain in the main meeting for about 30 minutes before they leave to enjoy their own age-relevant teaching.  There is also a sound-proof crèche area for the very young, with views and sound links into the main church auditorium (this is available for parents to use throughout the service).

Pastor Steve Jonathan teaches regularly on the biblical foundation for contemporary Christian living and we are also blessed with many gifted and able speakers that supplement our teaching ministry each week.

Following the service, refreshments are available to all with time to catch up with the wider church family and ask any questions you may have.

No offering is taken at our service, though an offerings box is situated on the back wall of our church for those wishing to give to the work and ministry of our church.

What happens for the kids and youth at church?

We have a range of fantastic programmes for the kids at the Church for ages 0–12. Children stay with their parents for the first part of the service as we celebrate together. An announcement will be made when the children can go to their age-appropriate groups and programmes. If this is your first visit you will need to go with your children to register them.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for your family under What's On.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

You are of course free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
